ObjectivesTo investigate the present situation of nurses' sense of organizational support,self-efficacy,their engagement and their influencing factors during pregnancy,and to analyze the relationship between them.The mediating mechanism of self-efficacy between organizational support and engagement of nurses in pregnancy was discussed,which provided a theoretical basis for the understanding and self-management of nurses in pregnancy.To provide basis for nursing managers to establish reasonable and effective management measures for nurses during pregnancy.MethodsA questionnaire survey was carried out among 320 pregnant nurses in four Grade 3A hospitals in Henan province by convenience sampling,of which 312 were valid.The survey tools include general situation questionnaire,Utrecht work engagement scale(UWES),organizational support scale and General self Efficacy scale(GSES).For the data of this survey,we directly use SPSS 17.0 software to establish the database,carry out double input and error checking for all data,use SPSS 17.0 software package to carry on descriptive statistical analysis(percentage,mean,standard deviation),independent sample t test,Single factor variance analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis,and intermediary effect test.Results1.The present situation of organizational support,Self-efficacy and engagement of pregnant Nurses in some Grade 3A Hospitals in Henan Province.The total score of nurses' engagement in pregnancy was59.97±13.33.The scores of three dimensions were 21.86 ±4.93,20.13 ± 5.29 and 17.99±4.19,respectively.The general self-efficacy score of nurses in pregnancy was21.28±4.65,which was lower than that of the national adult norm,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.001),and the difference was also statistically significant compared with the international norm(P < 0.001).The total score of organizational support of nurses during pregnancy was 77.74± 16.01,the scores of three dimensions were32.34±6.83,22.98±5.06 and 22.42±5.18,respectively.2.Factors influencing organizational support,Self-efficacy and engagement of Nurses during pregnancy.Whether there are symptoms of threatened abortion,the number of times before abortion,multiple pregnancy,types of pregnancy complications,working years and technical positions,these factors affect the level of nurses' perceived organizational support in gestation period(P < 0.05).Age,number of miscarriages,whether multiple pregnancies,complications or complications,personnel relations,working years,technical positions and monthly income were the influencing factors of general self-efficacy of nurses in pregnancy(P < 0.05).Sense of organizational support,general sense of self-efficacy,number of miscarriages prior to pregnancy,test-tube babies,whether multiple pregnancies,number of types of complications or complications of pregnancy,personnel relationship,length of service,technical position,The reason of participating in the work had an effect on the engagement of nurses during pregnancy(P < 0.05).Through multiple linear regression analysis,it was further concluded that there was a sense of organizational support,symptoms of threatened abortion and complications of pregnancy.General self-efficacy(in order of degree of influence)significantly affected the engagement of nurses during pregnancy(P < 0.05).3.Relationship between organizational support,self-efficacy and engagement of nurses during pregnancy.There was a positive correlation between organizational support,self-efficacy and engagement of nurses during pregnancy(P < 0.01),and the correlation coefficients were r = 0.374?r = 0.451?r = 0.371,respectively.4.Intermediary role of self-efficacy between organizational support and engagement of nurses during pregnancy.The organizational support of nurses in pregnancy was significantly positive in predicting their engagement level(B = 0.451,P < 0.001),and it was directly positive in predicting their sense of self-efficacy(B = 0.374,P < 0.001)during pregnancy.Self-efficacy was between organizational support and engagement.It has partial mediating effect.Conclusion1.The nurses' sense of organizational support,engagement and self-efficacy were lower and lower than the norm in Zhengzhou and some Grade 3A hospitals in Kaifeng.The difference was statistically significant compared with the international norm.2.The nurses' sense of organizational support,self-efficacy,the number of miscarriages before pregnancy,the number of test tube babies,whether the pregnancy is multiple pregnancy,the number of complications or complications of pregnancy,personnel relationships,years of service,technical positions,The reasons for participating in the work were significant influencing factors of nurses' engagement in pregnancy.3.The self-efficacy of nurses in pregnancy partly mediates between organizational support and engagement.
