Research backgroundWith the socio-economic development, the nurses, which is as a special and professional service Team, are getting more and more attention from the public. Also, the nurses professional quality is directly related to the quality of care. Facing to the intense competition from medical market, we should own a better professional nurses team with high quality, high performance, high job satisfaction and high stability so that we could insure the high quality of medical care and maintain the core competitiveness of the hospital. Both positive attitude to work and professional values are the core of the general quality of the nurses team, and it plays a conclusive and instructive role. In addition, cognitive level to the professional values also reflects the performance ability of nurses team. Researches have shown that that hospital managers provide various support for nursing staff could improve their perceived organizational support and work ability, mobilize their work enthusiasm. Therefore, that how to change the management concept, provide appropriate support for nursing staff, improve their perceived organizational support, chang the professional values, develop the potential ability, improve work enthusiasm, provide high quality medical care for patients and promote rehabilitation of patients are hot issues for the nursing managers.Research purposeBy using questionnaire survey to nurses working in general hospital in Tai’An, we would understand the current status of perceived organizational support and professional values in nurses. Meanwhile, by analyzing the influencing factors, we would puts forward to suggests and methods for improving nurse perceived organizational support and professional values, provide referential data for administrative departments and hospital administrators when they make related policies. The final purpose is to maintain the stability of the nurses team, improve care quality, promote the sustainable and healthy development of medical and health care.Materials and methodsBy the whole group of convenience sampling method, we selected1000nurses in39hospitals in Tai’an. We use’Nurse perceived organizational support scale’,’Nurse professional values scale’,’General information questionnaire’ for data collection, apply SPSS17.0statistical analysis software for processing data, adopt x2test for calculating data, adopt t-test and analysis of variance for comparing the two sample and multiple sample, adopt correlation Pearson correlation analysis and linear regression analysis for correlational analyses and multivariate analyses.Main Results1) POS and NPV mean score of nurses in general hospital is respectively3.40and3.65.2) Both POS and NPV of recruited nurses are significantly lower than enrolled nurses.3) The top three of POS score are all instrumental support entries, the bottom three are all emotional support entries, In the two dimensions of POS, emotional support is lower than instrumental support.4) Significant differences of POS exits among different hospitals, different employing ways, different work years, different positions and the different degrees.5) It exits positive correlation between the two dimensions of POS and various dimensions of NPV.6) It shows that there is the correlation of POS among grade of hospitals, employing way, work years, position and degree, there is the correlation of NPV in marital status, grade of hospitals and employing way as well.Conclusions1.The POS level of nurses in general hospital in Tai’an is lower than other professionals as well as other nurses in other areas which we have researched.2. NPV of nurses is medium status in general hospital in Tai’an3. Improving the POS of nurse would improve the NPV, increase work loyalty, reduce demission, stabilize nurses team.4. Grade of hospitals, employing way, working years, position, degree, marital status would affect the POS and NPV level of nurses. So, to improve and pay close attention to the objective factors would improve the POS and NPV of nurses, benefit the development of medical care.SuggestsAt government level, through the implementation of a serious of laws and policies, we should deepen the reform of personnel system of hospital, improve social status of nursing staff, protect the legal rights of the nurse, improve the working environment of nurses, so that improve the POS of nurse and care quality.The hospital should strengthen the construction of nurse team, form a reasonable echelon. Also, the hospital should strengthen management to the recruited nurses, pay attention to their benefit, provide reasonable compensation and emotional support, so that improve the POS of nurses and stabilize nurse team. The nursing manager should make the nurse classification management plan to improve NPV of nurses with different work years and promote the job satisfaction.The nurse should establish the’patient-centered’concept, provide standard and high quality care for patient, try their best to seek development with the quality and seek respect with contribution, continuously improve initiative and loyalty to nursing work.
