With the development of society,multi-cultural exchanges are becoming more and more frequent,and many traditional cultures with national characteristics and historical significance of the Chinese nation are gradually forgotten.Sichuan Brocade,which has a history of more than 2000 years,records the rise and fall of Chinese civilization.Its historical,cultural,and artistic values are worthy of our protection and inheritance.At present,the inheritance and development of Sichuan Brocade are facing serious challenges.Complex traditional handicrafts have led to high costs,and the lack of innovative patterns has led to the market not being optimistic.This article takes the pattern of Sichuan brocade as the research object,and explores the relationship between the culture,variety and artistic characteristics of traditional Sichuan brocade patterns by analyzing the cultural background of Sichuan brocade over 2,000 years and the characteristics of the patterns.Combined with the research methods of related disciplines such as modern design art,the cultural and artistic connotations of Sichuan brocade patterns are analyzed,and the design inspiration and materials are obtained from Sichuan brocade patterns.On this basis,this research uses a method that combines traditional Sichuan brocade patterns with modern design techniques and cultural and creative expressions to make a small contribution to inheriting and developing Sichuan brocade culture.The content of this article is divided into five parts.The first part analyzes the background and expected effects of the topic to evaluate the research direction and method of the thesis and works;The second part is the background analysis of Sichuan Brocade culture,so that readers can understand the origin of silk culture and the development of Sichuan Brocade culture in different periods;The third part analyzes the characteristics of the pattern of Sichuan brocade,so that readers can understand the origin,cultural connotation,and artistic characteristics of the pattern of Sichuan brocade,and also understand the graphic composition,color composition,and types of patterns of Sichuan brocade patterns.At the same time,the characteristics of the pattern of Sichuan brocade are found by comparing other brocades;The fourth part is based on the combination of the cultural and artistic characteristics of Sichuan brocade patterns with the culture and needs of the current era,creating cultural and creative works belonging to the current era,inheriting the Sichuan brocade patterns.
