Research On The Application Of The Traditional Pattern Of TuJia Brocade In The Cultural And Creative Design Of Silk Scarves

As a symbol of the Tujia ethnic culture,Tujia brocade has a history of more than1,000 years.The development of this folk art,which originates from the ancient heritage and daily life,once declined,but now it is revitalizing the excellent traditional culture.Traditional Tujia brocade ornamentation is abstract in shape,gorgeous in color and rich in meaning.These ornamentation inherited from Tujia ancestors coincides with the aesthetic pursuit of abstract graphics,planarization and decoration pursued by contemporary people.All the time,Tujia brocade artists have carried on a relatively complete inheritance of brocade decoration,with few innovations and few changes in its use.At present,the development of Tujia brocade is facing certain difficulties under the trend of people’s aesthetic pursuit.Under the premise of advocating the introduction of traditional craft into modern life and people’s constant pursuit of life aesthetics,Tujia brocade has rich traditional patterns with contemporary aesthetic implications,providing rich resources for the creation of design.In this paper,the historical origin,technical characteristics and decorative features of Tujia brocade,as well as the decorative features of silk scarf and design principles are discussed in depth.By collecting a large number of graphic decorative materials of Tujia brocade and classifying them,in-depth analysis and discussion are conducted from the three perspectives of the composition,pattern,color and meaning of the decorative features.This paper tries to integrate the traditional patterns of Tujia brocade into the contemporary cultural design of silk scarf,so as to achieve the purpose of re-creation and re-design by using the traditional patterns of Tujia brocade,so as to broaden the use of Tujia brocade resources.
