Architects Participate In Community Micro-Renewal

Community renewal and transformation has always been an important part of urban renewal.Since the end of last century,Shanghai has stepped into the renewal and transformation stage of urban housing construction in order to adapt to the development of modern cities and meet the rising living needs of residents.Since 2015,the promulgation of "Shanghai Urban Renewal Implementation Measures" marks that Shanghai’s urban construction has begun to get rid of the "big demolition and construction" mode,and then turned to the renewal mode of focusing on space activation and social construction to improve environmental quality and urban development connotation.Micro-renewal emerged in this context.Since 2015,architects have also begun to participate in the community renewal of micro-renewal practice mode.With the characteristics of "micro-intervention,wide participation,diversification and re-construction",they explore new ways of urban old community renewal.However,it is still in the stage of development and has not yet formed a sound operational mechanism and guidance mode.Therefore,the research and summary of micro-renewal practice is of great significance to the development and practice of community micro-renewal.This paper first defines the concept of community micro-renewal and old community in Shanghai;secondly,the second chapter combs the evolution of international urban renewal,hoping to analyze the origin of micro-renewal from a historical perspective;on the other hand,it hopes to put Shanghai’s community micro-renewal into the international trend of comparison,and then through the analysis of international mature cases,with a view to the current micro-renewal.The new development forms a comprehensive understanding;the third chapter focuses on the various micro-renewal practices in Shanghai since 2015,sorting out the feasible paths for architects to intervene in community micro-renewal,and analyzing the contents and modes,characteristics and values of various paths,as well as the restrictive factors and problems;the fourth chapter will analyze the typical cases under various paths in detail and interpret them in depth.Practical methods under various paths.Explain the details of the actual case,analyze the role of architects in it,as well as the value and problems of feedback.Finally,the fifth chapter summarizes the full text,summarizes the role of architects in community micro-renewal,and tries to summarize four working paths for architects to intervene in community micro-renewal.Finally,the author hopes to summarize and sort out the practice of micro-renewal in Shanghai in recent three years,and put forward some enlightening suggestions for architects from all over China to intervene in community micro-renewal practice.
