| The treehopper family Membracidae(Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Membracoidea)is one of the largest class groups in the Membracoidea and wide distribution in the world.It’s consists of more than 3200 species in 412 genera in the world,287 species in 41 genera in China,205 species in 39 genera in southwest China(including five new species in the paper).The major characteristic of the treehopper is that pronotum highly developed and form various.There was ornamental value was available to some beautiful species of the treehopper.The southwest China treehopper was studied in the paper,including taxonomy,comparative morphology,faunal analysis.The main research contents and results are as follows:Taxonomy40 species within 20 genera(including a new species and a new record of Tricentrini,a new species of Gargarini,three new species of Antialcidini;besides 16 of male and a female for the first time and replenish18 species female and male genitalia)of the family Membracidae from Southwest China have studied basis on external morphological and male and female genitalia characters.The taxa are the following:New species(5): Centrotoscelus crasschilus sp.n.;Gargara longihirsutus sp.n.;Tribulocentrus brevilobulus sp.n.;Tribulocentrus longilobulus sp.n.;Thelicentrus oedothorectus sp.n.New record species(1): Tricentrus punjabensis Yasmeem & Ahmad,1976.Description and illustration for the first time of male(16 species): Tricentrus floripinne Yuan & Cui,1987;Tricentrus albipennis Kato,1930;Tricentrus allabens Distant,1916;Tricentrus oedothorectoidis Yuan & Fan,2002;Tricentrus xanthopezus Yuan & Fan,2002;Tricentrus hyalinipennis Kato,1928;Tricentrus nigriapiculus Yuan & Fan,2002;Tricentrus viridipronoti Yuan & Tian,2002;Choucentrus sinensis Yuan,1985;Centrotypus assamebis(Fairmaire,1846);Truncatocornum parvum Yuan & Tian,1995;Antialcidas hyalopterus Chou & Yuan,1983;Maurya choui Yuan,1988;Nondenticentrus oedothorectus Yuan & Chou,1992;Nondenticentrus qinlingensis Yuan & Zhang,1988;Nondenticentrus acutatus Yuan & Zhang,2002.Description and illustration for the first time of female(1 species): Lobocentrus triangularis Chou & Yuan,1983.Comparative MorphologyThe female genitalia,the genus Tricentrus contain 2 species,Controtyus with 3 species and 13 species within 13 genera of Controtinae,are compared.The interspecific difference of the genus Tricentrus(2 species)and Controtyus(3 species)are small that find expression in characteristics of valvulae,sternite VII,pygofer and it’s a ventral view and length-width ratio,etc.The characteristics of valvulae II and sternite VII.Sternite VII,valvulae II can be used for interspecific identification.In addition,the difference between various genera of the family Controtinae was big that find expression in characteristics of pygofer,it’s the apex,surface within setae,sternite VII,valvulae.The intergeneric identification features include pygofer,sternite VII,valvulae II and valvulae III.Faunal analysisThe faunal structures of 287 species of the family Membracidae from China were analyzed.The Chinese Membracidae insect contained 5 distribution in world zoogeographic division.Among them,the Oriental was dominant fauna which contained 195 species and occupied about 67.9% of the total species number.Later,the Palearctic contained 47 species and account for 16.4% of the total species number.The Oriental-Palearctic with 43 species and account for 15.0%.The Oriental-Australian and the OrientalPalearctic-Ethiopian all include 1 species and account for 0.3%.The results show that the fauna of the distribution of this family has a strong relationship with the Oriental and Palearctic realm.Family Membracidae had 37 distribution patterns in the zoogeographic regions of China.Among them Huanan region with 76 species about 26.5% in total on single region,next the Xinan region include 46 species account for 16.0%.The Huanan-Xinan region accounts for most is patterns with 19 species account for 6.6% on the cross two region distribution patterns.The Huazhong-Huanan-Xinan region accounts for most is patterns with 11 species account for 3.8% on cross three region distribution patterns.The Huabei-Huazhong-Huanan-Xinan region account for most is patterns with 3 species account for 1.0% on cross four region distribution patterns.Other cross multiple distribution patterns all with 1species account for 0.3%.In general,the Huanan region was dominant fauna,next the Xinan region.And the Huanan region associated with the Xinan region.The type of specimens and material examined are deposited in the Institute of Entomology,Guizhou University,Guiyang,China(IEGU). |
