Southwest Classification Of Dipper Wax Cicadidae, (hemiptera: Wax Cicada Total Subjects),

This thesis is a taxdnomic study of the family Issidae (Hemiptera:Fulgoroidea) from Southwest in China. It includes the following parts: introduction, historic review, materials and methods, morphology, biology, biogeography and taxonomy. In the introduction part, the research history on Issidae is reviewed. In the morphology part, the taxonomic characters and terms are outlined. In the biology section, some biological habits including behaviors, hosts, damages and controls are summarized. In the taxonomic part, 30 species of 17 genera are described, of which 4 genus and 22 species are new to science and 2 genus 1 species are newly recorded from China. Keys are given to all generic and specific taxa concerned. The research history of each genus is reviewed.The faunal structures of the Chinese Issidae at specific levels were examined. In conclusion, 159 species of the Chinese Issidae belong to 2 types of distribution in Zoogeographic regions in the world. Among them, lspecises are distributed in Oriental+ Palaearctic region, which make up 0.63%, while 156 specises in Oriental and 2 specises in Palaearctic region, accounting for 98.11% and 1.26%. Issidae in China belong to 7 types of distribution in Zoogeographic regions in China.
