The vigorous development of shale gas industry in the United States has led to the upsurge of global shale gas development.China is rich in shale gas resources and has great prospects for development.In recent years,China's energy demand continues to increase,energy dependence is still too high,in order to alleviate the country's energy crisis,improve the energy structure,the development of shale gas industry is imperative.However,the development of shale gas is a process of highly intensive water use.The hydraulic fracturing technology used in shale gas requires a large number of water resources as a support,which will easily lead to the shortage of water resources.At present,China is actively planning the development of shale gas industry,but there is little research on the impact of environmental resources on shale gas development.Therefore,it is necessary to establish an evaluation index system of water resources carrying capacity for shale gas development areas.According to the characteristics of shale gas reservoir and the development process,this paper firstly summarized the possible impact of shale gas development on water resources from the aspects of development difficulty,water consumption and pollution path.According to the existing national water resources related evaluation indicators and related literature indicators,using the PSR modeling concept,through correlation analysis,18 evaluation indicators were selected to establish the shale gas development area water resources carrying capacity evaluation index system.Then,the weight of evaluation index is determined by intuitionistic fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(IFAHP),and the bearing capacity scores of three shale gas development areas in 2014-2016 were calculated.The results showed that the carrying capacity of water resources in the three well areas decreases year by year because of the expanding scale of shale gas development and the regional reasons.According to the evaluation results,in view of the shale gas development process and the water resources situation of the county where the well area is located,suggestions were put forward to improve the carrying capacity of water resources from three aspects of resources,industry and administration.
