The coordinated development of society,economy,resources and environment is like Damour's sword,which is suspended in the process of modernization.In recent years,with the further development of industrial modernization and urbanization,the contradiction between the limited supply of resource,the limited capacity of the environment and the economic development has become increasingly prominent.The increasingly severe environmental situation and resource challenges forced the community to think about how to find the balance between economic development and resource and environment replacement.As a ruler to describe the limitation of regional development,the evaluation of the carrying capacity of regional resources and environment can clarify the status of carrying capacity,and make clear the limitation of regional development and utilization,which is particularly necessary for the establishment of the detection and early warning mechanism.In September 2017,the office of the State Council of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the Communist Party issued a number of opinions on the establishment of a long effective mechanism for monitoring and early warning of the carrying capacity of resources and environment,and pointed out the implementation of single management and control measures for water resources,land resources and environment.At the same time,a five level warning mechanism for the carrying capacity of resource and environment has been set up according to the intensification and slowing down of resource and environment.Monitoring and early warning of carrying capacity of resources and environment has been put on the agenda.Since twenty-first Century,scholars have actively explored the evaluation method of carrying capacity of regional resources and environment.The application of ecological footprint,virtual water and emergy analysis has greatly promoted the quantification of carrying capacity evaluation.However,in the process of practical application,deficiencies inevitably exist in these methods which have the characteristics of setting evaluation index weight subjectively and are difficult to handle high dimensional data,while which are characterized by high dimension,nonlinear and non normal state.It is difficult to characterize some of the index data objectively involved in carrying out the evaluation of resources and environmental carrying capacity,which is characterized by high dimension,nonlinearity and non normality.To address the above problem.This paper attempts to apply the projection pursuit model based on the real coded accelerating genetic algorithm to the evaluation of the carrying capacity of resources and environment.The main research work is as follows:Based on Regional system theory and PSR conceptual model,according to the existing research results of resources and environment carrying capacity evaluation index system,the evaluation index system of resources and environmental carrying capacity for 2005-2016 years in Guangxi and that of the cities in Guangxi in 2016 were constructed.The grey relational analysis and projection pursuit method are applied to the empirical research on the evaluation resources and environment carrying capacity of Guangxi from 2005 to 2016 year.The comparative analysis method is used to compare the index weight and carrying capacity of the two evaluation methods,in order to find out the trend of change as time goes by.Meanwhile,the projection pursuit method and the grey correlation method are applied to the empirical research on the evaluation of the resources and environment carrying capacity of Guangxi city in 2016,in order to find out the spatial differentiation of the resources and environmental carrying capacity of Guangxi city.In order to avoid determining the weight of the index subjectively,the entropy weight method is used to improve the principal component analysis.The results show that the projection pursuit model based on real coded accelerating genetic algorithm is suitable for carrying capacity evaluation.As time goes by,the carrying capacity of resources and environment in Guangxi is on the rise,while different cities in Guangxi are in different situation.Qinzhou city and Beihai city have high carrying capacity of resources and environment,while Chongzuo city is in weak situation.The rate of air quality,the water consumption of value of industrial output,the removal rate of industrial sulfur dioxide,the per capita public green space and the greening rate,and the energy consumption of GDP have a significant impact on the resources and environmental carrying capacity of the cities of Guangxi.
