Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a distributed sensor network.Enabling the entire wireless sensor network to complete information acquisition and transmission tasks more efficiently and of wireless sensor networks.Wireless sensor network protocols are divided into three categories: routing protocols based on planar architectures,routing protocols based on hierarchical structures,and routing protocols based on geographic structure locations.The LEACH(Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy)protocol studied in this paper belongs to the hierarchical routing protocol.This paper discusses the algorithm of optimizing cluster head selection and balancing network energy based on LEACH protocol,and studies how to extend the working time of the whole network on the premise of guaranteeing the original work efficiency.The main research work of this paper is as follows:1.Based on the first-order radio energy model and existing achievements,the optimal number of cluster heads is calculated;based on this,the optimal clustering area and optimum cluster head position are deduced and demonstrated.2.Improve the LEACH protocol to select the cluster head node's threshold algorithm so that it can refer to the node's remaining energy,location and other relevant factors in the calculation of the election cluster head.3.The inter-cluster communication method in the LEACH protocol is replaced with a single-hop route transmission to a multi-hop route transmission,and a distance and energy reference factor is added thereto so that the cluster head node farther from the base station transmits data to the base station.The process will not consume too much energy.Finally,this paper do the Simulation experiment about the improved protocol.In this paper,the NS-2 software based on Linux platform was selected in the experiment simulation.The simulated data was compared with LEACH protocol and LEACH-C protocol data simulated in the same network environment.The experimental results show that the improved protocol is much longer than the LEACH protocol and LEACH-C protocol in terms of working time.At the same time,both the overall network energy reduction speed and the data transmission volume are not small.Therefore,the improved protocol achieves the intended goal of this article.
