At present, wireless sensor network (WSN) becomes a new hot of communication field. It can real-time monitor and collect the various testing object information in the network distribution area, provide objective real and effective physical information. Wireless sensor network has very broad application prospects in industrial and agricultural production, military, medical treatment, environment monitoring and many other fields. Wireless sensor network node with energy is very limited and cannot be added, so it becomes a bottleneck of wireless sensor network development. This paper focuses on the research how to make efficient use of wireless sensor network nodes energy.Based on the analysis of the existing wireless sensor network routing protocols, this paper mainly studies and improves the low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy protocol. The main research and improvement work includes the following respects.(1) This paper studies the wireless sensor network's development course, concept, structure, features, network protocol system and the classification of routing protocols. It analyzes key technological problems about the wireless sensor network. We compare the current several representative routing protocols which foreign scholars put forward performance and advantages and disadvantages.(2) This paper chooses the LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) agreement as research emphasis. It deeply studies LEACH agreement the principle and the forming process, and analyzes its existing problems. It mainly aims at LEACH which exist the problems of the energy consumption inequality and node's premature death. This paper further contributes to put forward the improved algorithm of the LEACH. It is improved from the election of cluster and data fusion algorithm. We study energy efficient schemes for clustering, localization based congestion estimation. It compares LEACH protocol with NEWLEACH protocol in aspect of consumption of energy, life time and receiving of nodes data.(3) Through the NS2 simulation platform, we simulate original LEACH agreement and the improved protocol. We compare and analyze the simulation results in aspect of the survival time, energy consumption and the receiving data of base station. Simulation results show that...
