| China News Awards represents the social mainstream ideology of our country, which is concentration of values, its evaluation has been widely attention. How did it constantly reform selection mechanism combined with background of the age from recent 25 years? What principles have been reserved during its constant reform. Under the interaction between change with non-change, what positive impact did selection mechanism of progressive reformed Chinese News Awards have on the press? Above questions are the contents of the treatise of this paper.Based on literature research method and content analysis method, this paper started with the previous award-winning works and selection method to collate and summarize the change of selection contents and selection methods of the News Awards. This paper consists of five chapters. In these five chapters, the specific contents of Chinese News Awards were analyzed respectively. The first chapter mainly introduced the current situation of the research, Chapter two mainly introduced its history and development process, emphatically analyzed the influence caused by background of the age and mainly described and analyzed selection mechanism and system of China News Award in the early 1990s. On this basis, it led to the current development situation of China News Award since the beginning of new century.In the third chapter, the focus was placed on the development and change of selection mechanism of China News Award. These changes were mainly reflected in awards and range have been increased, selection criteria be returned to the news value from the importance; jury composition were developed diversification; review and punishment mechanism were gradually strict. Different from Chapter three, Chapter four pay more attention to analyze "invariance" of China News Award selection mechanism over the years. It has analyzed two aspects, one is the invariable core concept, the another one is audience concept highlights the China News Awards selection focus on the "People oriented" spirit unchanged. The fifth chapter described the progressive reform and development of China News Award selection China News Award selection mechanism and analyzed great significance of this development mode to the current development China's journalism.This paper started with the angle of selection mechanism and have analyzed the "reform" and "reservation" of China News Award selection mechanism from historical development perspective. After in-depth analysis of the Chinese News Awards, we found that the "change" and "non-change" of selection mechanism are fundamentally from the mainstream consciousness of the public, as well as the related news media system of the government. By understanding the background of these knowledge, it can reflect that China News Awards selection mechanism showed a model of chronic reform and gradual development.
