Research On User Information Acquisition Behavior Of University Library Based On Information Foraging Theory

Information foraging theory were originated from the animal foraging theory which advanced the theory of today's information management discipline, has the vital significance to the development and extension of the subject. However, the relevant papers and topics at home are sporadic.The author use the university library user as the subject, University Library as the object, the access to information act as the research object, from the theoretical background of the information foraging theory concepts and definitions are presented in this paper, combined with the domestic and foreign research review proposal, put forward the research content and method. In the second chapter, the author briefly introduces the origin and concept of information foraging, and cites the research methods of information foraging theory and related models. In the third chapter, the paper introduces two aspects of library users and library, and expounds influence of the subject and object on the user's information acquisition behavior. The fourth chapter of this paper provides the data support for the full text, and makes a preliminary conclusion of the questionnaire data and draws a preliminary conclusion, which leads to the core of the paper. In the fifth chapter, base on one to three chapter of information foraging theory and the status of the user's information acquisition behavior, based on the survey data of the fourth chapter, the paper in-depth evaluation of the information acquisition behavior of University Library users. According to the information foraging theory, the existing problems and solutions to the user information of the university library are put forward, hoping to make some contribution to the management and decision-making of the library. The author from the design to the questionnaire survey data to draw conclusions before and after work in chapter six are list, author's ability of defects and problems of University Library user information access behavior was discussed, hope can under the guidance of information foraging theory to a new height.
