Information foraging theory is playing very important role to enhance the efficiency of information gathering in colleges,universities,and even the whole society. Therefore, it has very important significance for the study of the theory. However, the detailed research in this area is very few in the country. The first chapter elaborates the university library background information and the theoretical and practical significance of the study. The second chapter describes the basic theory was introduced information foraging theory, and from the theory of condensed information to obtain the user behavior influences two categories of factors- information of environmental factors and user awareness factor. Access to information and then conduct a general introduction. Finally, for this particular group of university library, University Library Information Acquisition activity subject, object analysis. In the third chapter of this particular group of university library, information environment and user awareness from both the standpoint of a number of specific factors determining user access to information act. Chapter IV questionnaire method, the university library to obtain information on Factors empirical study analyzes the current situation of library users access to information act, as well as various factors affect the behavior of users to access the degree of efficiency, thus found to affect the efficiency of the user information acquisition behavior disadvantages. The fifth chapter is based on the findings of Chapter IV, proposed the construction of information resources to strengthen and improve the library’s information services, improve the user’s information literacy and other help to improve the university library of efficiency of access to information, in a bid to library decisions and services provide some guidance. Sixth chapter to sort out, concludes the paper’s findings and priorities, as well as inadequate and needs to be improvement.
