With the urbanization and industrialization having entered a new era of rapid growth,tower crane,as an indispensable large-scale lifting equipment and handling machinery,plays a more and more important role in modern buildings,large power plants,highways and high-speed rail construction.And with the substantial increase in the number of tower machines and high-density use,man-made irregular operation and misuse,such as overload,tower crane group collision during the cross-operation,blind operation under the blind area,have occurred from time to time.In addition to the complex conditions and the lack of intelligent degree and other factors,the proportion of the accident in the tower crane accident accounts highly for the year after year.Reducing the potential safety hazards and improving the tower crane safety factor have always been the major issue of great concern in the industry.Therefore,researching and developing a tower crane intelligent monitoring system based on smart sensing,embedded technology and internet of things with high real-time,safety and stability has extremely important engineering application value.Taking the tower crane's typical working characteristics and safety monitoring and control requirements as the starting point,this paper has completed the research and analysis of distributed tower crane remote monitoring system based on ARM-Linux,and designed the hardware circuit and software system.The system adopts split structure,and takes S3C2440 and STM32F401RCT6 as the platform,mainly realizes the real-time acquisition,historical storage,wireless communication,dynamic display,sound and light alarm functions of tower crane.At the same time,it also studies the tower crane group wireless communication technology,its own limit detection,tower group anti-collision algorithm and restricted area obstacle avoidance algorithm.After completing the software and hardware design of the distributed tower crane safety monitoring system,the laboratory tests and joint debugging of each sub module were carriedout respectively.Finally,the installation test was completed at several construction sites.The measured data were within the range of allowable error which could effectively prevent security risks in time and achieve the expected objectives.In the meantime,it fully validated the feasibility,stability,and reliability of the system and laid a foundation for the further research.
