Tower crane (hereinafter referred to as the tower crane) is famous for its big radius of operation, able to complete the lifting, rotating and range walk, work characteristics, such as improve the production efficiency, in the work, by the people, is widely used in the construction field. But because of illegal operation in the process of construction and other causes of tower crane equipment damage accidents and casualties also often happen, cause significant losses to the society. Aiming at the existing problem of traditional tower crane safety monitoring system and the insufficiency, this article takes the ARM series high-speed processor as the core, with digital processing technology, sensor technology and GPRS wireless communication technology, developed a set of have good real-time and high reliability of tower crane wireless remote security monitoring system. The system can real-time monitor the working state of tower crane, and will work through GPRS wireless network data transmission to the remote monitoring platform, has realized the tower crane group of wireless networking monitoring function.In this paper, the research content mainly has the following several aspects:(1) The overall design scheme. According to the actual working environment and system functional requirements, and the overall design scheme of the system is put forward and the concrete development workflow. Complete system is the central processing unit selection and design of specific communication scheme.(2) Complete the tower crane monitoring terminal software and hardware system design. The hardware design part mainly complete system power, the CPU part of the peripheral circuit and sensor signal sampling process part of the design. Considering the working condition of tower crane environment is bad, the sensor output signal interference sources is more, joined the sensors in the system software design, sampling signal digital filter and watchdog technology.(3) The design of GPRS remote communication module. Complete the GPRS remote communication module power supply circuit, GPRS module boot and SIM card circuit and other hardware parts design. GPRS communication software programming flow charts are also given and the program flow chart of alarm message parts.(4) Establish a tower crane remote monitoring management platform. Using Visual Basic development PC data reception, real-time monitoring of tower GPRS remote communication module communicates with the server status, receive tower from a tower crane monitoring terminal sends data real-time work. After received the corresponding work data, the corresponding data saved in the Server SQL Server database, using the Visual Studio development tools to develop Web page display program, complete the tower crane work data Web show. Monitoring management center staff, according to actual needs, can be in any computer connected to the terminal carbonyl, open the web page and extract the corresponding data.(5) Prototype debug. At the end of the article, the prototype and various sensors installed on the tower crane, carries on the system on-line debugging, testing reliability and stability of the system operation.
