China's urbanization experiences a steady process,in companion with the body role of the city being more and more realized.As the collection of population and culture,city's existence and development need to be put into a more prominent position.The design and communication of city image receive more and more attention.City's image is an external manifestation with symbolic meaning,which determines the status of the city in people's identity.The study of city image has gradually become an important direction of journalism communication research.How to shape and spread the city image? What are the specific strategies of the mass media in disseminating the image of the city?This study focuses on the dissemination of the city image from the perspective of capital and power.The city is a collection of capital and power,in which different capital and different powers with different capital struggle and compete for the resources of the city.At the same time,all kinds of capital,power and specific actors,also cooperate with the same interests.The study argues that shaping a good city image will bring consistent benefits to the various actors in the city's field and will therefore promote cooperation among various subjects.Under this framework,this study analyzes the position and role of the media in the urban field and argues that the media is not only an important part of the cultural capital in the field,but a part of the news field under the framework of the urban field because of the characteristics of the news field.In the process of city image construction,the function of media is not limited to presenting and shaping,also mobilizing and mediating.Content analysis is used in this paper to quantify the shape and spread of Hangzhou city image before and after the G20 summit.It analyzes the concrete way of shaping and spreading the image of Hangzhou city under the market domain,with the purpose of deepening the thinking of the way,in which city image has been constructed.This study is different from the previous studies of urban image,and introduces the field theory into the analysis of the city image construction,and examines the competition of the city field led by the power structure and the dominant capital,with the expectation to provide meaningful ideas of the city image design and communication of media.
