Product data management(Product Data Management,PDM)is an important part of modern enterprise management,based on software technology,to the core product,the product related data,process and resource integration management technology.With the continuous development of computer technology and the increasingly fierce competition in the industry,the demand for product data management is becoming higher and higher,which is of great significance to improve the production efficiency and economic benefits of enterprises.PDM is clearly positioned as the core of product management and the three main elements of management information with data,process and resources.Ji'nan Putian Communication Equipment Factory consists of mechanical manufacturing,car modification,plastic products and other three division,which belongs to the manufacturing enterprises,production characteristics also have as many varieties,small batch and other small and medium enterprises,product information and related process and promiscuity.At present,the serious problem faced by this factory is that the management of data between departments is self-contained,and there is a lack of effective information sharing and utilization among each other,so as to form the so-called "information island".With the rapid development of computer application,all kinds of data followed by the rapid expansion of the formation of the enormous pressure to the factory management: data types,data redundant,data retrieval,data sharing and security management and so on.The function of the data management system of the product is not perfect,which seriously affects the basic management level of the plant and restricts the development of the enterprise.The analysis and design of PDM system is a very complex process,must take into account the actual characteristics of Ji'nan Putian Communication Equipment Factory,combined with the concept of the business,and the existing implementation of the computer technology,the paper analyzes the present situation of the factory product data management and the existing main problems,starting from the basic idea of PDM the system is fully from the factory requirements,the product data management function of PDM and the module of detailed system analysis,establish the basic framework of enterprise PDM system,to determine the functional requirements of the factory of PDM,completed the design of functional module,preliminary design of enterprise PDM system for Ji'nan Putian Communication Equipment Factory.To realize the functions of PDM system from two aspects of hardware and software,change the previous product data into system management mode,to a great extent,effectively solve the drawbacks of the previous product information management,product data management factory more efficient,simple and feasible,while avoiding the unreasonable cost management to reduce the risk management[5].
