A Study On Chinese Bibliographic Data Semantics Based On BIBFRAME

At present,the Chinese bibliographic data exists in CNMARC(China Machine-Readable Catalogue)format,CNMARC not only has achieved the Chinese bibliographic catalog of machine-readable catalog format standardization,but also has facilitated domestic and foreign bibliographic information exchange and sharing.With the arrival of the Internet age,it has brought opportunities and challenges for the development of the library industry.Semanticization has become the way to break the boundaries of the collection resources and integrate into the network environment.CNMARC in the network environment shows defects,which includes complex records,the low capability of network resource retrieval and the use of the scope and environment constraints.It hinders the realization of the Chinese bibliographic data semantics.The new bibliographic framework BIBFRAME(The Bibliographic Framework Initiative)can achieve bibliographic data semantics,which has been used by some institutions abroad.China should also follow this trend to speed up the application of BIBFRAME in Chinese bibliographic data,with BIBFRAME to achieve the Chinese bibliographic data semantic.In this paper,through the exploration and research of the new bibliographic framework BIBFRAME,it finds a method to realize the semanticization of Chinese bibliographic data based on BIBFRAME.First of all,through the literature survey,a comprehensive combing the domestic and foreign bibliographic framework of the research trends,systematically discussed the status situation at home and abroad.Then,it analyzes the status and problems of Chinese bibliographic data.The characteristics of Chinese bibliographic data in CNMARC format and the deficiency of CNMARC format in network environment are mainly discussed.After that,the background,model and vocabulary of BIBFRAME bibliographic framework are introduced,which lays a solid theoretical foundation for the later research.The focus of the research content is divided into two parts,the design of Chinese bibliographic data semantic and how to achieve.In the design part,the necessity and feasibility of this study are analyzed,and then it is established the detailed mapping relationship between CNMARC field,subfield and BIBFRAME attribute.In the implementation part,the method of converting the CNMARC field,subfield and BIBFRAME attribute CNMARC data to RDF data and CNMARC directly to the BIBFRAME data conversion method are studied to realize the semanticization of Chinese bibliographic data.
