MARC was initiated in the 1960 s, it made a great contribution to the recording, storage, management and exchange of library bibliographic data business. But with the development of information technology, the deficiencies of MARC gradually become obvious, such as restrictions from the card Recording format, the complex structure, field duplication setting, unreadable data, unavailable to retrieve date directly by the search engine, and so on. MARC has become the biggest obstacle for the development of digital library under the current network environment. The development of technology brought diverse types of literature, make the traditional libraries' bibliographic description hard to satisfy the needs of users under the network environment. In order to adapt to changes in the network environment, the Library of Congress in the United States proposed a new bibliography framework, BIBFRAME, so as to make the future bibliographic description can be widely adapted into network environment and make the library fit into the broader information community. This paper started with the foundation of BIBFRAME and sort out the relationship between AAC R\RDA(rules on the description of type and characteristics of the resource) and FRBR\FRAD(the conceptual model and vocabulary) and MARC(the way of bibliographic literature) with BIBFRAME. To start with the goal of FRBR\FRAD, the accomplishments and shortcomings from AACR to RDA, and the development span of MARC to BIBFRAME, I described an overall structure,development status, features and advantages of the BIBFRAME model, and pointed out that BIBFRAME has made some innovations in making the related data as basis, semantic, using entity-relation model of FRBR and broad applicability, and achieved functions of location-based, efficient retrieval and simplified cataloguing, besides, from the test and application of BIBFRAME, this paper proposed that there might be some problems in the implementation process of BIBFRAME, such as a rather high technical threshold, integration and conflict with the standards of FRBR\RDA, and the cooperation as well as the competition with extended Schema.org bibliographic. As MARC's alternatives, there is a long way to go for the implementation of BIBFRAME, which concerns the reform of ideas, systems, personnel and other aspects, of course it needs a lot of capital investment. However, the BIBFRAME genealogy body design developed by Shanghai-based library is undoubtedly light a new way for the development of libraries in China, and also greatly inspired our library applications of BIBFRAME. Our library should take an active and objective attitude towards BIBFRAME, try our best to reform concept, learn technology, practice positively, and strive to explore more possibilities of library in the digital age. In addition, the initiation of new conceptual model FRBR-LRM and the revisement of RDA will also present new challenges for the future development of BIBFRAME, the implementation and promotion of BIBFRAME require participation and practice of communities from all walks of life.
