The supporting role of information network technology is becoming more and more important as the modernization pace of meteorological services in China accelerated. In recent years, meteorological departments in each level kept making effects at building the meteorological network system. Great chievement has been made and the capability of meteorological information service and network communication were improved dramatically. However, new system also brings in new challenges:there is not a straight and valid way to automatically monitor the new system; the capability of automated system maintenance is also insufficient, those problems influences the system operation and limits the further improvement of the information service.Here we introduce a practical building of the system, and describe the design and implementation of a new monitoring system. We also analyze and summarize the essential technologies we used as well as their effects. The new system is developed to fulfil demands from all levels of meteorological network monitoring and management that combined the monitoring service, alarm and anomalies management together. It accomplishes a successful monitoring to the meteorological information grids, hardware and instruments, service system and the service data quality. The new monitoring system also includes functions of automatic anomalies alarms and automated report generation to technicians, which improves the automatic monitoring and maintenance capability in every aspect.The system adopts the Java EE framework and utilizes open-source technologies including Zabbix, Logstash and Kafka. Data in the system are collected and arranged from multiple sources and stored in MySQL database in the backend. The system also provides an integrated Graphic-User-Interface that is developed under MVC framework.
