With the fast development of science and technology, the meteorological industry has made significant progress in terms of instrument and equipment, detection methods, and observable elements. The variety and the amount of data of meteorological information have been improved a great deal. In order to efficiently process and forward all types of meteorological information, a complete information transmission system need to be built in the meteorological industry, through which the observing information can be better receiving, processing, archiving, forwarding and monitoring. Therefore, the timeliness of meteorological information transmission will be better guaranteed and meteorological observation will achieve more benefits.Based on the Suse Unix platform, the meteorological industry information transmission system is designed on a SOA architecture and B/S structure. The system also uses a high-version JAVA as the programming language and development tool. The running environment of client ISP needs to be TOMCAT 5 and the database software adopts the MySQL database. The meteorological information transmission system can be installed in one or multiple servers, and Cluster and HA technologies also need to be used to ensure a high accessibility for multiple servers.The meteorological industry information transmission system features a modular design, of which the most basic ones are information send-receiving module, data archiving module and system monitoring module. The information send-receiving module, the core of the system, is functionally composed of six parts which are information producing, files collecting, files sending, TCP service, statistics and records journal. The goal of its design is to achieve efficient collecting, processing and distributing of real-time meteorological data. The data archiving module, including collecting archived information and data archiving, is functioned as organizing and temporarily processing the raw data. The system monitoring module is formed of business system monitoring, transmission surveillance, status information monitoring and receipt inquiry. Its primary goal is to achieve overall monitoring of the system’s operational status, internal network connectivity status, the host system resources, data collection and data distribution.After the meteorological industry information transmission system put into operation, it will greatly improve the processing efficiency of meteorological data, enhance the reliability and timeliness of meteorological data transmission, reduce the work pressure of the staff working in meteorological information transmission and improve their work efficiency.
