Design And Development Of Online Booking Management System For Restaurant

The project described in this paper is the project about system design and develo-pment that the author participates in MeiTuan.com during the internship.Because the author joined the project team during the team formation stage because I was in the internship,just at the beginning of the project team was established,so I participated in the development of most of the code in the project,while the preparation of unit testing,functional testing of the system testing and verification.Repair and optimize a lot of problems,the system is now put into use,and has thousands of businesses have used the system services.And I am responsible for the subsequent maintenance and iterative development of the system.The main function of the system is booking management,from the business point of view,booking management is mainly a cooperation program between businesses and Meituan.com,including the program entering,and the program online and offline state changes.The purpose is to simplify the original complex process of cooperation,optimize sales and system users experience,shorten the cooperation program editorial process,and bring our high quality booking service to business users as expected.Inquiring from previous system,the article provides analysis of the original book-ing management system to identify the system defect,and illustrate the new system design and implementation to resolve the identified shortage.The entrance of new boo-king management system is embedded with Meituan.The original entrance closed and only follow-up maintenance remains.All new or renewed business will immigrate their service entrance to the new system.In other words,the system is the only entrance to the businesses that cooperated with Meituan.com.In this paper,based on the actual system design and implementation,we illustrate how the system optimizes the user experience and simplify the operational process.We provide project background and industry needs analysis to validate the user needs and system requirements.In the general design section,we also describe main system func-tions in detail,including the database entity and relationship and the key field descri-ptions.In the detailed section,we illustrate the system optimization,system stability improvement and the design of a highly converged,low-coupled system.We also descr-ibe the methods how we take full advantage of the technical framework to ensure data integrity and consistency,and the final test phase ensures the correctness and stability of the system.The reservation management system is mainly composed of the main system sing-le system in the supply chain and the auxiliary system-background operating system.In the design and development,I participated in the single system of all modules design and development,and independently completed the operation and management system design and development.Now the project has been stable in use,and has brought thousands of booking contracts and collected hundreds of thousands of cooperation costs.The future goal of the project is to manage about 100,000 business cooperation and to bring the company a daily average of millions of revenue,in order to reach the expected project vision.
