Since the90’s of the20th century, due to economic globalization, scientific and technological advances, the market competition is becoming increasingly fierce. In the modern business environment, how to reduce costs, ensure quality, improve response time and provide humanistic service becomes the core issue for enterprises. The organizational structure, marketing strategy, business model can become the core competitiveness of enterprises. Along with science and technology, enterprises can organize and coordinate the worldwide purchasing, production, logistics and distribution activities, forming the integrity of corporate competitive advantage. The establishment and maintenance of this advantage are inseparable from the supply chain and its theoretical support.Book publishing industry plays an important role in promoting economic development and enriching people’s spiritual life in the cultural industry. However, the book publishing industry is also facing a series of difficulties, which mainly shows in the high inventory of books.In addition, the popularity of the new medium, challenging the traditional book publishing industry. Although the traditional book publishing is increasing, it encountered many problems. As the oldest means of mass media and cultural, the book publishing industry needs to deal with the challenge of the times.Based on previous studies this paper applies the supply chain theory into book publishing industry, considers the actual situation of book circulation, and uses the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis methods to study and describe the management and coordination of book supply chain contract theories and methods. The main contents are as follows:(1) From the basic theory of supply chain, the paper builds the foundation of the book supply chain model through analyzing the characteristics book publishing industry and the relationship among the various book industry members. From the perspective of supply chain coordination, with the background of the production and purchase of educational books, the paper builds inventory model according to the features of educational books and designs the quantity discount contract of the book supply chain.(2) With the background of best-selling books, the paper establishes two-stage supply chain, including a book supplier and a wholesaler. Taking into account the return issue in book publishing, the book buyback contract achieves supply chain coordination, including the analysis of the nature of the relevant parameters.(3) Taking into account the development trends of the digital book, combined with the background of the spread of e-books, the papers establishes an e-book supply chain constructed model. Firstly, the paper analyzes the moral problems of e-book piracy and copyright protection. Then, the papers uses revenue sharing contract to coordinate e-books income distribution problem in the supply chain. The results shows that revenue sharing contracts cannot achieve the perfect coordination in the supply chain and the increase in revenue of e-book supply chain only cannot be realized unless library service providers increase their advertising revenue.
