Study On The Layout Style And Characteristics Of Discourse Field Of News Comments In The Newspaper People’s Daily

News comments discourse field is one kind of dissemination field composed of relation networks, platforms and channels, communication regulations of various comments dissemination bodies, discourse subjects and so on. As a mirror of the state of democracy and dissemination of a country, the development and tendency of news comments discourse field is the consequence of social culture changes, especially politic changes, and in turn it has profound effects on social culture and politics. Taking the advantages of Bourdieu’s field theory, this thesis analyzed the development of discourse field of news comments and the layout characteristics in the newspaper People’s Daily.Firstly, we analyzed the general state of comments discourse field, and discussed the influences of external environment, such as politic-economy field and science-technology field on the formation of discourse regulation. In this thesis, news comments discourse fields from early stage and nowadays were compared in terms of subject identity of discourse, characteristics of comment topics and communicator-audience relationship. We found that the discourse field subject experienced a transition from simple collectives into diversified individuals. Comments topics changes from macro-level dominating into macro-level and micro-level balanced.Moreover, the communicator-audience relationship switched from unidirectional into interactive situation, which led to enlarged discourse field space. These changes could also be reflected on the comments layout. For example, various layout styles like single-text type, picture-text combining type, text collective type and text-linkage type indicated opening-up of crowd discourse field, flexible and authoritative discourse subjects, dynamic communication of multiple discourses.At last, the shortcomings were analyzed as well, in order to found a better discourse field in People’s Daily. It was proposed that discourse bodies were not equal in access toresources. The changes of communicator-audience relationship were passive. And the discourse field was still limited. Therefore, it was suggested that the publicity of discourse should be enlarged, and the discourse interaction should be enhanced and the discourse field should be extended.
