Core journals can directly reflect one or more subjects in the field of academic research ability. Core journals have features such as a large amount of information transmission and high frequency of utilization, receive consistent recognition and attention from academic circles. Archival Science Bulletin and Archival Science are the ranking first core journals in archives respectively in China and abroad. They also represent the academic development level in the entire archival science subjects. At present, the proportion of articles, what combining with the theory and method of literature metrology and archival science research is not high. And the articles of research on archives journals are rare. With the continuous development of various disciplines, the intersection and integration of disciplines are deepening day by day. The development of bibliometrics in library science and information science is enough to explain the significance of its theory and practice. So this article use related knowledge of Bibliometrics to study the two journals. From the perspective of bibliometrics, this paper focuses on three aspects, such as the number of articles published, the authors of the paper, the research content of the paper. Taking Archival Science Bulletin and Archival Science as the sources, this paper compares and analyzes all articles from 2005 to 2014 in these journals. By comparing we know: Archival Science Bulletin's annul number of articles published is Archival Science's 7-8 times; the section settings of the two journals have their respective characteristics; the authors of the paper in the two journals are roughly the same, but the proportional allocation have a considerable gap, such as the author co-author, author distribution, etc; Archival Science Bulletin's keyword standardization degree is slightly inferior to Archival Science's, but its attention field in archival science is wider than ArchivalScience, and so on. Expect Archival Science Bulletin to improve itself from the journal's section setting, the journal's academic influence, the research team, the journal's standardization, focus areas, etc.
