Research On Academic Influence Of Proceeding Paper In Journals Of Information Science And Library Science

The main purpose of this article is to investigate the academic papers published in journals in the subject of information science and library science,that is,the academic influence of PPJ,in order to provide reference opinions for optimizing the collection of information science and library science journals,promote the development of library and information science academic conferences,and promote academic conferences and journals.The close exchange of science and technology provides reference for the formulation of science and technology policies,and helps the development of information science and library science disciplines.We used the database of the Web of Science core collection to filter out the articles of library and information science,and then selected the conference papers published in the journal,and download the respective citation data.Based on the downloaded citation data,the impact factors of the journals were retrospectively included in the JCR database.To analyze the source,scale,citation times and impact factors of journal which conference papers published in.The results found that:(1)The number of PPJ papers in information science and library science is relatively low,and the conversion rate of conference papers to journal papers is low.(2)The sources of PPJ are concentrated in certain specific conferences and journals,and there is no close communication between conferences and journals within and outside the field.(3)In addition to close communication with computer science,PPJ also has close cooperation with communications,telecommunications,education and education research,health science services,and medical informatics.(4)The research focus of PPJ articles is different from ordinary articles.Ordinary papers focus on data mining and processing in the field of library and information.PPJ's research focus is mainly on the calculation and optimization of bibliometric indicators and related content of altmetrics.(5)PPJ articles receive a certain degree of attention: their citations are better than ordinary articles at the general level.(6)The average impact factor of journals that include PPJ is higher than that of ordinary articles.The inclusion of journals and PPJ articles has a certain positive effect on the increase of journal impact factors,This effect is more significant in journals with lower impact factors.
