The performance appraisal is an important part of Human Resource Management, and it is an approach which the companies use to in charge of their employees to work hard and make profits for them, then it also can improve the company's core competition. As a news factory, the newspaper company rays on its reporters to write the news which can attract readers to read their news so that the company can get more profits form the newspaper commercial.However, the internet technology attacks the newspaper industry, people's reading habit has changed, more and more people prefer to reading news on PC or mobile phone. So they don't need to buy the newspapers anymore. The profits of newspaper companies are going down rapidly. At this situation, The newspaper companies need to improve their management skill and reduce their costs, expand the profits.Recently, Chinese thesis media companies have made efforts on searching a scientific performance appraisal. On the basic of combination of theory and practice, the approaches of performance appraisal are getting various. During the implementation period, lots of problems are showing up, so that the effect of practices are not so satisfactory. This article will analyze and study performance appraisal cases which are from the foreign countries and domestic paper media, and some relevant Human Resource Management theories. Meanwhile, the article take the Shenzhen Economic Daily as the example, through analyzing and searching the Shenzhen Economic Daily's Performance Appraisal System to reporters find out the problems and reasons, then it will help Shenzhen Economic Daily Company to solve problems and make a perfect performance Appraisal System. The final purpose of this article is to try to find out a suitable approach for performance appraisal to play its role in performance management and improve the company's core competition as well as.
