ObjectiveThis research is guided by Kirkpatrick' four levels model to investigate and analyze the current situation and influencing factor of culture care competence among nursing stuff.To formulate and implement a targeted training plan for cultural care and to evaluate the training effect in order to improve the level of nurses' cultural care ability.MethodsThis research is a quasi-experimental design,divided two stages of baseline investigation and intervention.In the first stage,a baseline survey was conducted on 472 nurses who were engaged in the nurses' culture care ability questionnaire and the KAP questionnaire of nurses take care of patients.In the second stage,questionnaire survey and examine from are used to collect data.Two groups of 36 nurses were chosen to engage in the study,which came from the cardiovascular department and neurology department of Ningxia Medical University General Hospital.The two groups were randomly divided into two subgroups through the way of tossing a coin.Control group received usual department professional study.While intervention group performed usual department professional study as well as the intervention plans that based on Kirkpatrick' four levels model cultural care training.The scores of nurses' cultural care competence were compared after the intervention.To evaluate the Kirkpatrick' four levels model application effect in nurses culture care competence training.Result1.The cultural care competence total score of clinical nurse was 75.63±9.61,the strength and weaknesses of each dimension are cultural care skills,cultural care awareness and cultural care knowledge.2.The cultural care competence level of clinical nurses careing patient was in the middle and upper level.All dimensions of knowledge,attitude,behavior scored were 59.20±21.70,74.36±10.80 and 57.05±11.03.3.Pearson correlation analysis reveled that there was positive correlation among knowledge,attitude and practice of cultural care competence among clinical nurses(P<0.05).4.Multivariate regression analysis further indicated that educational training was the influential factors of professional culture care ability among clinical nurses(P<0.05).The nationality,multicultural interest,knowledge and attitude were the influential factors of nurses culture care behavior(P<0.05).5.Two groups had no significant difference in the general data(P > 0.05),which indicated that two group of nurses with baseline data in equilibrium were comparable.6.Reaction layer effect evaluation of nurses to training content,evaluation form,antraining time arrangement and training teachers satisfaction is higher.7.Learning layer effect evaluation,after training intervention group nurses cultural care theory knowledge score was significantly higher than control group(P<0.05).8.Behavior layer effect assessment,after training intervention group nurses' culture skills was significantly higher than control group(P<0.05).9.Result layer effect evaluation,after training intervention group nurses' cultural care ability and nursing patient culture care leve was significantly higher than before(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The culture care ability of clinical nurses is in the middle upper lever and the culture care knowledge and behavior is poor.2.Based on Kirkpatrick four levelmodel's cultural nursing education training through and multi-level performance evaluation that can prompting nurse applied knowledge and skills to clinical work will help to promote its cultural care ability level.
