A Study On Xi’an Tourism Development In The Experience Economy Perspective

Tourism is one of the pillar industries in Xi’an, which has a strong impetus to promote the development of the national economy in Xi’an.With the development of economy and society, the tourism income and the number of tourists in Xi’an are increasing, but its relative market share is declining.In order to promote the development of Xi’an tourism better, it is imperative to explore new tourism development mode.Some scholars pointed out that there are three modes of tourism development: resource oriented, market-oriented and experience oriented,experience oriented accords with the requirements of the experience economic times,The perspective of experience economy becomes the new train of thought for tourism development.Xi ’an is given priority to with historical and cultural resources,which is poorer in experience,and there are many kinds of tourism resources in Xi’an,which are different with each other quietly.How to develop tourism in Xi ’an in the perspective of experience economy,and how to effectively avoid the deviation when complicating,are worthy discussing.The subject is based on developing tourism in the perspective of experience economy reasonably in Xi ’an, the core of the research focuses on the formation of "tourism experience", avoiding deviation.Through field surveys and information access,understanding of the tourism resources and the development of tourism in Xi’an,rediscover a foundation for the formation of a tourist experience;Combining with questionnaires,analyzed the tourism consumption market in Xi’an,explore the changes on tourism experience demand.investigates the influence of the environment for tourism development on tourism experience.Using of ASEB analysis,to find the problems existing in the tourism development in Xi’an, then analyzed the problems from outward appearance to inner essence,concluded that tourism consumption demand changing,Xi ’an tourism resources characteristics cannot be very good to adapt to changes in thetourism consumption demand,tourism resources use unreasonable,deviations in understanding of "tourism experience".Based on the analysis of the facts relevant-ed above, Xi ’an tourism development suggestions were put forward. Firstly,according to the characteristics of experience economy,determined the principles of tourism development,redefined the scope for tourism resources, focusing on the construction and perfection of the tourism development environment;Secondly on the basis of market analysis, established the theme of development,and tourism image.based on them;Lastly, in order to realize tourists "good experience" goal, around the tourism experience of five types(Entertainment,Escape, Education, Estheticism, Empathy),the corresponding development strategy were put forward,as for the historical and cultural heritage,the paper puts forward some further development suggestions.The proposals put forward in this paper on tourism development in the perspective of experience economy, is aim to provide a theoretical basis for the development of Xi’an tourism, enhance the attractiveness and competitiveness of Xi’an tourism, achieving sustainable development of the tourism industry in Xi’an, and provide reference experience and thinking for other tourism cities.
