With the pressure of modern city,the pollution of the environment and the arrival of the aging society,people’s pursuit of physical and mental health is gradually strengthened.Therefore,there are some tourism with special interest develop fast.The wellness tourism,integrated with tourist activities and wellness resources,is favored by the public gradually and becomes a new mode of tourism.Meanwhile,with the prevalence of the experience economy,the tourism comes to its third stage—experience tourism.The development of domestic wellness tourism started late,the related theory and practice research of wellness tourism is even less.This study takes Bozhou Anhui Province as a case.First,it reviews the historical research and current situation of tourism experience and wellness tourism;Second,it defines the related concepts of tourism and wellness tourism and tourism experience,and expounds the Chinese traditional wellness theory,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and the theory of brand competitiveness used in the paper;Third,it explores the development of the tourism in Bozhou,resources and characteristics.Fourth,interview,questionnaire,mathematical statistics and some other research methods are uesd to analyze data,and the principles and proposals based on the above results are put forward;Finally,it expands the major views of the study.This paper makes an empirical study of the wellness tourism in Bozhou to promote the development of wellness tourism in Bozhou.The research results are as follows:firstly,different social demographic characteristics of tourists have different attitudes toward wellness tourism.Secondly,wellness tourism experience products are popular.Third,the wellness tourism products with local brand feature are demanded more.Fourth,the comprehensive exploiting of wellness tourism market is the trend.
