Employee engagement in the work is one of the key factors to improve business performance for a company, thus leads to a wide and intensive study which is mainly focused on formation mechanism, influencing factors, measurement and so on.The goal for the research is including definition of employee engagement, formation process, influencing factors, way of measuring methods. Based on the results of research, some new ways are discussed to improve the employee engagement in power supply company.By a wide study on the research status in engagement world wide, this article presents some new ideas on its formation mechanism and structure model, influencing factors and way of measurement. This article defines engagement as physical and mental expend level on work. An employee’s engagement in work comes from rational understanding and emotional understanding about work combined with self-discipline. Both of the rational understanding and emotional understanding is influenced by six factors including company, work, employee, employee-work matching degree, employee-company matching degree, and work-company matching degree. These six factors can also be used to develop a new way of gauging engagement level. In the mean time, this new way can also helps the manager in the company to improve the engagement level. Compared with the traditional measuring way, this new way is more comprehensive, more targeted, and more reason oriented.The basis of the theoretical research, this article studies the current situation in power company and the difficulty that the employees are facing. By doing this, this article presents some new ways to improve engagement level including find the proper goal for company development in regarding the company level, to design proper career goal for workers in regarding job level, designing,recruitment to gain a better employee-work matching degree, targeted training according to investigation result, career management and company culture improvement.At the end of the article, we focus on the work-company matching degree to discuss employee engagement in psychology.
