Improving employee engagement leads to the improvement of company performance. According to the research findings released by Gallup, employee engagement is a important driver to improve organizational productivity and customer satisfactory, gain profit, and reduce the employee turnover rate and work accidents. Facing the fierce competition in home appliance industry and the economic crisis around the globe, the home appliance companies are urged to enhance the competitiveness and seek opportunities even at difficult times to win the market as an industry leader. This paper is aimed to help home appliance companies to realize that employee engagement is a driver to deliver extraordinary results, as well as give practical guidance and advices to help the management team how to improve employee engagement, based on the analysis on key drivers of employee engagement.Analyzing the data sourced from the company employee engagement survey, this paper finds out the key affecting factors of employee engagement and suggests home appliance companies to optimize the system of human resources management by the practices, like selection and coaching managers, employee career path, effective performance management system as well as reward and recognition policies.There are limited research studies on employee engagement in China, especially in home appliance industry, the findings of this research are meaningful for China companies to improve engagement.
