The Study Of Our Media’s Reports Of Anti-terrorism

The fight against terrorism and terrorist violence will be a major strategic task in the current and future periods. Anti-violence terrorism issue has become a hot and difficult problem for media to some extent. In recent years, by the support and guidance of our government,our media, completed a large number of reports on terrorism.In this paper, under the background of the objective status of terrorism and violent terrorist attacks, I take our domestic media’s reports of anti-terrorist violence as an observation point. Combining the theory of news dissemination under a macro analysis sight of the media coverage of anti-terrorist violence, based on the grim situation and our media’s role, this study chosen "People’s Daily", "Urumqi Evening News" as the central and local traditional media,www.ifeng.com, Sina micro blog as new media, take their reports of terrorist violent attacks in 2014 as research sample, analyze these reports by content analysis.This study found that, the theme of our traditional media in the anti-terrorism violence reported has got a relatively consistent tendency to emotional aspects, which indicating that the anti-terrorism report has a clear direction, and they has been a right guidance of public opinion; While there are significant differences in reported genre, manner and speech system between traditional media and new media, these difference stem from the structure of the different mechanisms and operating model. Two different types of media have become inter-operable to a certain extent, and formation a situation of win-win report pattern, This communication mode with a variety of report methods, will heighten the effect of anti-terrorism in to a certain degree.Through content analysis and literature analysis, this study summarized the further deepening characteristics of the media’s anti-terrorism reports in general, they have a powerful ability to guide public opinion, timely reports, sound information on rumor mechanism and so on. At the same time, our media has got a better ability about agenda setting, with the perfect performance on information disclosure, information integration, and public opinion guidance.The feature of news frame of anti-terrorism assumed as focused and coherent report topic and the official leading on the process of report. In general, the anti-terrorism mechanism of our media is relative maturity, the reporting mode has showed pertinence and timeliness after the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC.This study recommends that, For Optimize the Communication strategy in the issues of against terrorism, fully use the role of our media in combating terrorist forces, Government and the media should set off from the perspective of crisis management, Publish relevant information In time, Guarantee the Normal Social Communication System is unobstructed, enhanced international cooperation, and occupied the commanding heights of the anti- terrorism of public opinion under the protection and requirements of "Anti-Terrorism Act."At the same time, Combined with the "Knowledge gap" theory and the "Information wilderness" phenomenon, this study emphasizes the role of our media in Eradicating terrorist forces from the source.
