Research On Problems And Suggestions Of Chinese Science Websites In Development

Science website is a collection of related web pages which demonstrate the scientific and technical knowledge of the state and society,advocate the scientific method,spread scientific thinking and promote science and spiritual activities.In order to investigate and analyze the present situations and contents of Chinese science website/this paper selects seven typical websites as a key research sample on the basis of combination of domestic science websites.In order to scientifically evaluate and systematically analyze the seven typical websites,this paper constructs a multilevel and hierarchical logical structure about evaluation indicators of science website,learning from domestic and foreign Scholars’ research about site evaluations and combining characteristics of seven typical websites.Furthermore,considering the operability, this paper will break down science website evaluations into three one-class indexes,11two-class indexes and27three-class indexes and then elaborate and regulate the evaluation criterion of three indicators.Using the evaluation index system,the author analyzes the structure, form, function of home page,the set of columns and column contents and the content, form and function of the special topic of typical science websites.lt is noteworthy that there are many problems of science websites including the uneven regional developments, the lack of awareness of differentiations,the underutilized advantages of multimedia, the lack of creativity,vitality and functions.According to the salient problems in the research,the author presents four suggestions and countermeasures.First,we should strengthen the fundamental construction of websites and optimize the allocation of resources. Second,we should standardize management and planning to improve the originality and diversity of contents.Third, we should use the advantage of technology and develop multimedia science resources.Fourth, we should improve the science website services and build a network platform involved all the people.
