In the 21st century, network information technology has been widely applied in various fields, at the same time, based on computer network is gradually exposed the IPv4 IP address deficiencies and rapid growth of the routing table, and many other problems. And expanding scale expanded year by year in our university, campus network users rise sharply, the needs of the business is more and more diversified, thus exposed the network bandwidth bottlenecks, lack of safety management, and business needs more new problems. Based on the next generation of IPv6 campus network construction is of great urgency.Based on the engineering professional technology institute of sichuan IPv6 campus network construction work, first clear the IPv6 campus network design principles, together with the present situation of our hospital network at the same time do the IPv6 network demand analysis, concrete analysis, compare the dual stack, tunnel technology and characteristics of translation technology, proposed the IPv4/IPv6 network transition strategy, completed the overall implementation of the IPv6 campus network construction planning, including the network level classification, equipment selection, routing strategy, IP address planning, etc. Finally, we through the computer network laboratory network environment status quo, on the Windows XP GNS3 simulation software is adopted to establish the simulation platform, and designed a series of simulation experiments, including dual protocol stack simulation technology, realize the communication between nodes IPv6 and IPv4; Simulation experiments including tunnel technology, implement IPv6 nodes can be accessed through the IPv4 network of IPv6 network; Including static NAT-PT simulation experiment, and simulation experiment on dynamic NAT-PT, IPv6 IPv4 host access to the Internet, IPv4 and IPv6 host access to the network. Through a series of simulation experiments show that the test environment network communication is normal, no data packet loss phenomenon, upgrade the transition to IPv6 network xingtai university design provides a reference basis.
