From Web 1.0 to Web 2.0, the user has been taken the initiative from the passive side. They have more and more powerful voice and a stronger desire to express themselves. Besides, they also pay more attention to human-computer interaction, eager to have a platform to make speech and enjoy a good user experience. On the other hand, the media is also moving from the era of the audience to the user era. Traditional media has already try to change their minds,put down the figure and revalue the new type of relationships with the user, which has been proved by the series of methods taken by them in order to retrieve the situation from organizing their own microblogs and official accounts to designing news clients. Every developer is no longer talking just about exclusive, hot topics and how fast they can get online, but start to thinking about whether their product is able to use and been useful to users, and whether user likes them or not. What we have to do is not just moving the paper to the mobile terminals,also is not just to develop a client to catch the trend, but to creating a application full of a great value, breaking through the channels to the front of the user and even to their hearts. User is supreme, experience is vital.From the language, text, pictures, video to newspapers, magazines, radio, television, Internet and then to the news client, the media in the news media are constantly updated, the channels are constantly expanding. Update to now, while, television news programs are continuous extrusion, newspapers and magazines life are hanging by a thread. The other side, more and more people choose to watch the news in the mobile terminal, traditional media editors have invested the embrace of new media, and their work is transferring from editor to product managers. It is because of the hardware characteristics of mobile phone news client convenient, rich content, and strong interactive features and grass roots style. All of them bring the new user experience to users.User experience of news is a system full of concepts:user interface, the content of the report, reading experience, solutions...In different stages, different channels, each possible chance for user to contact with developers like journalists, editors, designers, programmers can produce user experience. User experience is a comprehensive result of various kinds of subjective feelings, which determines that it can’t be calculated by a general system framework. It can only be evaluated by decomposing various types of indicators of products. On the other hand, whether the virtual mobile terminal products or news website, the user experience model is based on WEB development environment. Different roles that media plays also determines media has to take different point of user’s view to consider the level of design. Level design is from the bottom to the top. Each layer is not isolated. They are affected by the next design. In other words, the new media clients needs the edit team, development department and the marketing department docked at different stages of a project perfectly.In recent years, the news client on the mobile terminal is gradually increase, but in a short time it attract the media to throw themselves in competition. Whether traditional media or commercial media have been put into a lot of capital and energy to seize the market, play different characteristics of the card to retain users, announce that they have the best user experience to attract the eye of publicity. In the prosperous new media ecology which can be described as "Everyone is a reporter, news is everywhere", traditional media was put under a new game rules which happens never before. They can feel the pressure and force themselves to participate in. Unlike websites who has many years of online operation experience, during the process of developing applications, traditional media enjoy advantages of powerful editorial team and rich experience while bound by experience, system, capital and other factors. As a result, they can’t compete with websites in the size of user or operation. It is a urgent task to seize the commanding heights of the mobile terminals while carrying forward the mainstream values at the same time.Based on the news reading application launched by Xinhua news agency, a behalf of traditional media, this thesis summarize user experience quantifications, build evaluation framework from the perspective of user experience, design evaluation index in multiple design dimensions including the utility value of experience, technology functional experience and aesthetic feeling experience, do interviews with target user and set the final questionnaire. It tries to explore possible methods to transfer the user behavior into the design, and come up with some suggestions for traditional media to improve their follow-up service.
