The logistics industry is growing faster as the e-commerce industry is developing rapidly like Taobao, JingDong e mall. And with the highbusiness increasing of logistics business, logistics express informatization has becoming a significant way to enhance competitiveness of enterprises, to improve operation efficiency and quality of customer service.This topic is derived from the logistics industry informatization process of real project, which is a pilot project of Shanghai HuiTong express logistics, this topic is also a full-scale solution. This thesis will solve the problems of logistics, express industry informatization.Including the web-based functionality for customer at frontend and business operation administrator from backend. The web-based function is running and developing on MyEclipse10.0platform, while the handheld terminal is using Visual Studio 2010 as its development platform.This thesis addressedthe conception and function of WebGIS based express service management platform, based on WebGIS express delivery service is a new kind of express delivery business model, the model compared with the traditional pattern of express delivery according to the division of business efficiency is improved obviously, get all the delivery person real-time location through WebGIS, distribut the pick-up and sent work by the nearest principle, greatly improve the efficiency of the express business; and highly introduced the technologies that have been used in developing WebGIS based Express service management platform, including high scalable concurrent logistics mobile terminal access technology, support multiple operating system platform of mobile terminal software technology, WebGIS technology, the server push technology, Ajax high frequency real-time map location technology, mobile phone client acquisition technology, etc. Meanwhile, analyzing the functional requirements of the express service management platform based on WebGIS, including express customer, express company management, delivery site scheduling and delivery personnel needs of the business; Introducing the functional design of the express service management platform based on WebGIS; Describing the method to accomplish key functions, including Website at frontend, Website at backend function, handheld terminals, etc. Including design and business process analysis; consequently, summarized the express service management platform based on WebGIS development work.The last part of thesis is the summarization and prospection.
