The Development Of IC Card Hand-Held Terminal Based On The Embedded System

In this thesis, the characteristic in the workshop of Jiangsu Changjiang Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. is fully analyzed. Combined with the requirement in Manufacturing Execution System, a kind of universal IC card hand-held terminal, which is used in the workshop, is developed on the basis of the design method of embedded system. It is able to record, store and transfer data of traditional equipment by IC card.Firstly, the prototype system architecture is designed on the basis of the background and functional requirement of the system.Secondly, the hardware system is developed based on the 32-bit high performance ARM microprocessor S3C44B0X, with some general interface (such as memory, IC card, RS232, IRDA, USB, Ethernet, CF card) expanded. The process of designing the hardware system with the modular structure is particularized. The circuit diagrams and the definition of hardware interface of each module are given.Thirdly, the bootload is designed according to the address mapping of the PCB and the start-up procedure of ARM processor.Afterwards, the mechanism ofμC/OS-Ⅱis discussed. Its transplantation to ARM processor is also expatiated.Then, the drivers are introduced. The theories of IC card and some driver programs are given as well.Lastly, the method and experience in debugging the system are discussed. The problems in debugging are also analyzed and solved.The prototype system makes full use of the high performance, low power and low cost of ARM microprocessor and the open-source, portability and low cost ofμC/OS-Ⅱ. It also provides an economical and practical solution for recording, storing and transferring data in manufacturing companies. The system, which can work well in the test, can be very valuable for many fields because of its adaptive ability. It also can give some advice to other embedded system.
