Study On The Design Of Microlearning Activities Based On Hand-held Terminal

The21st century is the era of information.The convenience and universality of the hand-held terminals and the social and diversity of the ways of information dissemination and the adding elements of fast food, entertainment, consumer of modern mass culture deepen the concept of lifelong learning unceasingly. Microlearning based on handheld terminal comes into being and developing. Microlearning refers to a new way of learning in which the learners learn by obtaining the fragments of learning resources from existing and convenient handheld terminal initiatively whenever and wherever to solve problems timely and quickly which encountered with in study, life or work.For microleaming based on hand-held terminals, the key is microlearning design on learning contents and learning activities. The design of microlearning activities is the key to microlearning design.The main contents of the design of microlearning activities based on hand-held terminal include:the processes and methods of the design of microlearning activities based on hand-held terminal under the guidance of activity theory, presentation of results and cases of the design of microlearning activities, and so on.This paper researches mainly from the definition of related concept, the guidence of theoretical basis, the design of processes and methods, the presentation of results and the cases’design in microlearning activities based on hand-held terminal, the realization and implementation of microlearning cases and the comparison of microlearning cases on different hand-held terminals,.The main research methods are:literature study, comparative analysis and case study. The specific works done as folows:Firstly, this peper defines the concept of microlearning and related concepts,such as hand-held terminal, microlearning activities strictly on the basis of analysising the domestic and foreign literature. It points out the theoretical basis and guidence of the design of microlearning activities based on hand-held terminal.Secondly, this paper puts forward the processes and methods of microlearning activities based on hand-held terminal, introduting the concept of "Activity List",it is also the core content. As the result of microlearning activities needs the help of hand-held terminal to realize, this paper also designs presentation modes of the design of microlearning activities, including presentation of "Activity List"and processes of microlearning activities.Thirdly, this paper designs the microlearning activities cases "Computer Accessories Purchase and Installation" for informal learning and "the Object Clause" for supplement in traditional classroom, realizing in Android system based on the processes and methods of the design of microlearning activities based on hand-held terminal.It also designs the processes of implement of the case of "the Object Clause".Fourthly, this paper analysises and compares different microlearning activities cases in different hand-held terminals such as smart mobile phone, computer for students, electronic dictionary and the learning machine. It points out the enlightenment of their design of microlearning activities to the later design of processes and methods of microlearning activities and makes it improvement and perfection.The feature of this paper is the detailed processes and methods of the design of microlearning based on hand-held terminal. It provides a direct reference for designers of microlearning activities.The design of "Activity List" makes learners stick out a mile to microlearning activities.The realization and implementation microlearning activities provide reference and guidence for later microlearning activities.
