Gas concentration monitoring system based on wireless sensor network(WSN) integrates sensor test technology, distributed data transmission and processing technology and wireless communication technology into an organic whole, with low power consumption, low cost, large-scale, integrated, flexible way of ad-hoc network and deployment way wait for a characteristic, suitable for the complex environment for a long time, unattended, multipoint monitoring, multi-level needs.In this paper, according to the demand of the subject, Mainly for alkanes gas research and design a set of monitoring and high reliability, high degree of automation, simple operation, wide range of application of wireless sensor network monitoring system.On the premise of meet the demand of subject, system portable degree is high, has good versatility, the system can at any time, any adverse environmental conditions to obtain a large number of accurate data monitoring information, adapted to the various social fields, have broad application prospects. By comparing the current commonly used wireless communication technology, Zigbee technology chosen as the system of the wireless communication module, the Zigbee technology applied to gas concentration monitoring system, using Zigbee protocol stack to self-organizing network, set up to for the mesh network topology structure of wireless sensor networks, effectively solve the system of low power consumption, multi-point monitoring and data fusion processing, and other issues.According to the system requirements, hardware design, choose better linearity, precision and stability of gas sensor MQ- 5 as measuring element, through to compensate the error caused by nonlinear modulation circuit, increase the accuracy of measurement.In the main control module and data gathering module hardware choices, follow a low cost, the principle of universality, high performance, low power consumption.When the chip connection circuit design, comply with the principles of accuracy, simplify, compatibility.Software design, USES the function modular, follow the principle of reliability, scalability, standardization and simplicity.Upper machine design, using VB6.0 by use writing user monitoring interface, easy operation, realize the serial communication, data processing and display, dynamic graph display, database, information processing, and other functions.Finally testing system through the experiment, the experiment results show that the system reliability, monitoring of high precision, low power consumption, has realized the multipoint monitoring, basically reached the design requirements of this subject.
