With the development of radio frequency technology and wireless broadband technology, as well assensor technology, the era of Internet of Things, and the way of monitoring system has been developed tothe wireless sensor networks from the traditional video surveillance. The sensor of different functionscollect a variety of information outside, and information can be perception and processing by theinformation system and even a variety of devices in the system can also be controlled by it. The status ofthe traditional video surveillance has declined gradually, because it is just an extension of the function ofthe human eye does not have the information processing capability, which is regardless of the number ofcameras installed in the monitoring system, eventually the information also need people to judge andprocess.Monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks use wireless sensor network technology, anduse the ribbon three-tier network architecture which can realize target recognition, multi-point integration,coordination of perception and positioning, to achieve effective information collection, classification andhigh-precision positioning of monitor targets in the monitoring, the scale of wireless sensor networks andthe relationship of each sensor node can’t be pre-set, and IT faces enormous challenges as dynamic changesof network topology. The emerging ZigBee technology has solve the problem. ZigBee technology is a shortdistance, low complexity, low power, low data rate, low-cost wireless networking technology, and it isbased on the IEEE802.15.4standard; finally, coordinate the communication between thousands of tinysensors. These sensors just need very little energy, and transmit the data from one sensor to another with theway of relaying through radio frequency technology, so communication efficiency is very high. In addition,ZigBee technology networking features can adapt to the dynamic changes of the wireless sensor networktopology.This paper’s main research direction is design and implementation of a monitoring system based onZigBee wireless sensor networks. The establishment of the wireless sensor networks in monitoring systembased on ZigBee technology, and the functions realization of data acquisition module in monitoring systemis based on the CC2530hardware platform. So as to achieve the data processing and control of the gateway module in monitoring system, the gateway module selects the OMAP2530hardware and WindowsEmbedded CE6.0operating system. Wince6.0operating system mostly used in the development of mobileterminal equipment, and it has a rich feature support and comprehensive computing services. As the usingof Wince6.0operating system platform in the wireless sensor network monitoring system, the number ofsensor devices in the wireless sensor network can be monitored by the terminal device in a short distance.
