Since the mankind enters the 21st century, the rapid development of relevant disciplines such as microelectronic mechanical system, computer, communication, automatic control and artificial intelligence engenders a new kind of monitoring and control networks - wireless sensor networks (commonly abbreviated to WSN). Wireless sensor networks is an autonomous monitoring network system composed of a large number of small ubiquitous sensor nodes which are randomly deployed in unattended surveillance areas and are capable of automatically completing the tasks assigned according to the environmental conditions .Wireless sensor networks is one of enormous influence technology to the 21st century, which has attracted the high attentions of academia and industrial field and also has the broad application prospects in the mechanical and electrical field, so wireless sensor networks is attempted to apply to the mechanical and electrical monitoring system.In this monitoring network costing little without wiring, many sensor nodes laid in appropriate spaces of the mechanical equipment to monitor are able to gather signals which cannot be collected and monitored in traditional method. The running data of equipments status is collected in unmanned surveillance environment, simultaneously printed out and sent to remote administrative personnel for data analysis, so as to achieve rapid and accurate prediction and diagnosis and to speed up fault diagnosis speed, repairing efficiency and equipment availability of electromechanical equipments. Considering this thought, the scheme of wireless sensor networks system is presented based on ZigBee technology, ZigBee wireless data transmission platform is designed and realized and application of wireless sensor networks on the monitoring and control of electrical and mechanical systems is studied preliminarily. preliminary study.In this thesis, the main work is as follows.(1) On the basis of analysis and research on development situation of wireless sensor networks technology at home and abroad to study, short-distance communication technologies and IEEE 802.15.4/Zigbee protocol, the architecture of wireless sensor network system and the design scheme of sensor node are proposed in this thesis.(2) In this thesis, the radio frequency chip CC2430 is adopted to design each component of sensor node including data acquisition module, power supply and wireless communication module. Wireless data transmission platform working at 2.4GHz is established and conforms to the ZigBee protocol completely. The procedures of sensor node are programmed and compiled in IAR development environment. The collection function of the temperature signals in wireless sensor networks is not only realized, data can be also accurately transmitted between sensor nodes.(3)After sensor nodes program downloaded and IEEE address written under the IAR development environment, reference nodes are used in localization of blind node and communications between sensor nodes are captured with the aid of the sensor network Analyzer (SNA).Communication procedure of wireless sensor networks is analyzed and the network topology is shown in tree networks, afterwards.(4) On the basis of maintenance strategy research, the application scheme of wireless sensor network in mechanical and electrical system is proposed. Wireless sensor networks system is designed for slowly time-varying signal collected like temperature, pressure and displacement and system diagram of sensor nodes and the transmission flow chart of the data are plotted.
