"People’s Daily" International Women’s Day Comments Discourse Change

Discourse is that people say in daily life,and write in the text. Reviews are written by the symbol of the "words" that the text belongs to the category of discourse analysis.Times change and development will affect the trajectory of discourse. Similarly, the leadership of the Communist Party of China’s "People’s Daily" will vary with the changing times, and its published International Women’s Day Comments which will have a corresponding change of trajectory. Although many scholars have analyzed "People’s Daily" comment with the Discourse analysis theory, However, much research focused on New Year’s Day or National Day editorial editorials. Few scholars use discourse analysis theory to research on other festivals such as International Women’s Day, Labor Day, July founding Festival. This is also the starting point of this study, a long time is one of the innovations of this paper.Teun A Van Dijk is the Netherlands semiotician. Therefore, I will use his discourse analysis theory to study the image of women in the "People’s Daily" International Women’s Day commentary, and explore what’s discourse features in different historical periods on the macro and microscopic analysis, and how this discourse changes? What are the factors? Examine the image of Chinese women on the basis of how evolution? During the study, I will use literature analysis, text analysis,quantitative analysis, comparative analysis and so on.Contents of this paper include: Introduction, explain the background and significance of paper, the relevant domestic and foreign research review, a brief overview of the Vatican ? Dick news discourse theory, and research methods using in this paper, the framework and presents innovations. The first part will be using text analysis, using the Vatican ? Dick news discourse analysis theory from the macro level,micro level, the types of rhetoric on the "People’s Daily" International Women’s Day commentary content analysis. The second part will take advantage of comparative analysis, combined with historical background discuss discourse features in different historical periods, which having before and after the founding of New China, Period ofsocialist construction,Cultural Revolution,The new period of socialist modernization.The third part, the basis of the previous two chapters to generalize the path of transforming the discourse of women, and the factors which affect the conduct of the discourse changes, and then sort out the evolution of the image of women in this 68-year period. The conclusion, to answer research questions and the future.
