The Changes Of Discourse About National Day Editorial On People’s Daily(1978-2014)

This dissertation aim at analyzing the change of discourse of 34 pieces of National Day editorial which are from 1978 to 2014(1979, 1980, 1980 of whom has not issued a National Day editorial), basing on the National Day editorial on the People’s Daily. At the same time, using word frequency analysis software and analysis method, it has a systematically word frequency statistics for National Day editorial text on the People’s Daily. Through this unique academic perspective, it shows that how the mainstream media gradually to break through the shackles of the old discourse system and create a new form of discourse under the different time background and different media environment.“Pen and ink when over time, the article is in, the world”. Through this research, we understand profoundly from one side that there is intrinsic connection and generative mechanism between news discourse changes and social change, so as to enrich the research content of journalism. "History is the news of the past, the news is happening history". Through the analysis of news discourse changes profoundly we observe profoundly the history footsteps of "Chinese dream" of China towards modernization and realizing the great rejuvenation since China’s reform and opening-up, and strengthen the construction road self-confident, theory self-confidence, system self-confidence of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
