In the modern industrial production, control center and production plant layout separation has become mainstream of factory design, video transmission distance has strict requirements.As a high-definition DVI video signal interface,it can not be long-distance transmission because of DVI signal its own reason,and in many buildings can not be secondary civil construction and wiring,twisted pair can only communicate reserved. Therefore, the use of twisted pair and DVI interfaces to build video streaming system has a strong market demand In some specific areas such as power system dispatch,civil aviation management, there are strict requirements in real-time video,conventional video transmission system latency is large, can not meet the demand.This paper presents the first compression during transmission solutions. In this paper presents the solution of compression before transmission.For this research project,research and compare many mainstream video compression algorithm and combined DVI signal characteristics, the final selection of the two-dimensional integer DCT arithmetic, drawing on the audio dither compression processing technology, presents a high real-time, low-complexity, stream stability and completed the verification and testing in the paper.In addition, the hardware implementation, use xilinx’s a close connection with the ARM and FPGA chip Zynq-7000 as a hardware platform. ARM has the advantage of running the operating system, task scheduling, FPGA in the high-speed digital signal processing has advantages.In the actual implementation process, the management protocol, task scheduling, operating system, using ARM implementation; DVI video stream output, high-speed data processing using FPGA.By hardware and software co-design,the flexibility of ARM and real-time of FPGA have been very good to play.At last,a high real-time, low-complexity, stream stability video compression algorithm and video dither processing algorithm proposed in the paper.By mjpg-streamer and VLC player and secondary development,completed the construction of the software part.The various functions of the system has been tested to verify the correctness of the design.
