Remote Monitoring System Design And Implementation Based On Android

As the development of technology, video surveillance is m ore and more important in daily life. For Video surveillance can provide real-time video information, convenient access to observed object and can be applied for most requires, it become more and more popular. At the sam e time, the development of mobile terminal equipment makes it possible to realize remote monitoring, also make the remote monitoring on the mobile device is much required. Therefore, our paper use mobile devices based on Android system to develop the monitoring program.In this thesis, we design and im plement a remote m onitoring system based on Android mobile equipment. The system has two components: server and mobile client. Then they are connected th rough protocol TCP/IP. Firstl y, we use W indows operating system as the server platfor m. We also use DirectX development tool provided by the Windows operating system to collect m onitor images, and MFC programm ing to provide UI to show real-time monitoring data. Then, the monitoring data is released as a web services for the client connection. On the client side, our paper use the Android system as a mobile operating system. We use Android system APIs programming application to connect to the server, and get monitor data which then will be showed on mobile devices. At the same time, considering the limitation of network bandwidth, the existence of the charg e for 3G networ k, our paper using JPEG i mage compression technology for data compression of monitoring data to reduce the data transferred on the internet. It also guarantees the quality of monitor information.Finally, we integrate the server applica tion and client applic ation into a whol e remote monitoring system. After the debugging and testing process, it shows that the remote monitoring system, we design and implement, meet the requirem ent. And it becomes a set of rem ote monitoring system based on Android m obile equipment the feasible solution.
