The development of modern information technology greatly demands the requirement of the throughput and bandwidth of information in communication area. The optical fiber communication based on light wave is the important transmission mode in the modern communication. For increasing and faster high speed signals, the advantages of optical fiber communication transmission, which are wide frequency bandwidth, large communication capacity, strong anti-electromagnetic interference ability, pretty secrecy make it very suitable in the application of higher transmission rate and longer transmission distance. There are a lot of serial buses could provide the transmission rate from 2.5Gbps to 10 Gbps. High speed interface based on optical fiber communication is a combination product of fiber optical communication and high speed signal transmission, which use the high speed differential signal for transmission. The differential signals can avoid the common mode noise, reduce the EMI radiation, and also can overcome many disadvantages of single ended signals, such as low driving ability, crosstalk from other signals or the external environment and the noise from power or ground plane. These features are very suitable for Gbps signal transmission.This thesis is to the problem, put the high speed interface used in optical fiber communication transmission of 2.5Gbps signal as the main research object. It is divided into two parts, which are modeling and performance optimization. Discuss the influence factor and component characteristic of high speed interface in detailed modeling process. Simulate and optimize the performance of high speed interface after complete modeling high-speed interface. The main contents of this thesis include the following several parts:1. Introduce the development process of high speed signal design and optical fiber communication. After high speed interface profile, introduce the signal integrity, power integrity problem of high speed interface design. The main work and the structure arrangement of this paper are summarized at last.2. Start from the base of high speed interface design, firstly introduce the electromagnetic field knowledge and the various factors may influence the high speed interface performance, and finally introduce the background knowledge of high-speed interface modeling.3. Determine the block diagram of high speed interface, introduce the high-speed interface components. Describe the modeling and simulation optimization process of high speed interface.4. Modeling of high-speed interface is established. Extract the key parameter of high speed interface components by using 3-D full wave electromagnetic simulation software to calculate high speed component model, which based on finite element method or integral equation. Extract the key parameters to evaluate their performance and complete high speed interface modeling.5. Introduce the optimization of high speed interface performance, the reasons need to optimize and the specific method.6. A summary of the contribution and limitation of the research, plan the next step work arrangement. Look to the application of modeling high speed interface and research.
