High-speed signal connector has become a key factors of the signal transmission quality in telecommunications and data communications system, which affect improving the transmission speed. Electronics industry is facing the big challenge of improving the transmission rate, high-speed signal connector design has become the convergence point of high-speed circuit design and simulation.The application of electromagnetic theory in the microwave field has been very mature. With the increasing clock frequency in high-speed interconnect, finite propagation speed and wave phenomena began to appear, at this point, the theory is not applicable as in the low frequency circuit. So more and more people using analysis methods of electromagnetic to solve circuit design problems, high-speed digital circuit design has became a new application areas of electromagnetic theory. As the different signals and patterns of spread, apply the mature microwave design directly to the interconnect design is inappropriate. Therefore, the circuit must be based on the actual situation, build a reasonable physical model, then simplified the electromagnetic field analysis of general application, used full-wave electromagnetic analysis software for numerical calculations and parameters extraction, to achieve a complete set of simulation programs. It is in this idea of this project to analyze the match, differential pair, radiation and other issues in interconnect of high-speed signal connectors.Firstly, the research status and basic knowledge of high-speed signal connectors are described, key performance indicators are analyzed. Then the concept of the signal integrity and high frequency signal connectors in the field of application are researched. Next, the high-speed signal connector signal integrity key factor, transmission line model and its high-frequency effects, reflection, crosstalk, high-speed serial data transmission, high-speed signal simulation model of the structure are in-depth studied. And analyzed the more popular interface of the current practice:HDMI. Based on the theoretical method, we modeling the signal transmission of connector and optimize parameters, analysis the simulation results in frequency domain and time domain. Furthermore, also simulations a sub-two circuit which common used in the practical application, and simulate to optimize part of its signal separation circuit, to achieve a better match and transmission performance. Finally, measurement of parameters of high-speed signal connectors performance and instrument were researched.
