The digital video compression technology is one of the key technologies of video transmission network.Under the conditions of the existing network bandwidth in order to achieve more efficient transmission of video information, the need for a video compression technology and higher requirements. As a new generation video compression standard, ICE has better applicability channel, higher compression quality, more open base system. At the same time, ICE has also been widely used in video conferencing, video compression and storage, video streaming services, network video transmission and other areas, the prospects are very bright. And herein do is in vs2008 environment using C ++ development language support ICE codec code video communication module for real-time video communications streaming media server and client, and the client can be on the server side AVI format video on-demand viewing. On this basis, the content focus of the study focused on four areas: building code in vs2008 compiler environment under the master ICE codec principles and processes, to build a video conferencing system architecture, modify the source code to achieve normal video communications and local AVI video playback.This paper introduces the FFmpeg video codec in the process of ICE, ICE analyzed this process principles and processes codec. Based on the above analysis, the open-source project Omnimeeting videoconferencing codec module was revised to ICE codec module. Then build Omnimeeting operating environment, and ultimately achieve real-time video communications streaming media server and client, and the client server AVI format video-on-demand viewing.
